Why my eSIM doesn't work?

Modified on Thu, 5 Oct, 2023 at 5:25 AM

Every time you arrive in a new country, check that your cellular/mobile data settings are correct. Sometimes these settings can be reset over the local network. The settings should be like this:

  • Cellular/mobile data is ON and 1-eSIM profile is installed
  • Data Roaming ON
  • Auto network selection ON
  • 5G Mode OFF

1-eSIM should switch to that country's preferred network, and if you've purchased a data plan for that country, you should be able to start using mobile data. You can also see our tips.

Note: This process can take up to 10 minutes when entering a new country for the first time. This is because the device and eSIM need to find the correct LAN operator and then contact our database to confirm your location and your mobile data access. After the first connection, every time you turn on the device while visiting this country, you should be connected in less than a minute.
